CAJUN DIRTY RICE

  • Ingredients

    2 pouches of A Dozen Cousins Classic Bone Broth Rice

    1 tbsp oil

    • 1 lb Turkey sausage

    • 1lb ground meat

    • 1 white/yellow onion, diced

    • 1 green bell pepper, diced

    • 1/2 cup celery, chopped

    • 2 garlic cloves, minced

    • 1 tsp paprika

    • 1 tbsp creole seasoning

    • 1 tsp thyme

    • salt & pepper, to taste

    • 1/2 cup chicken broth

    • 1 tbsp hot sauce, optional

    • 1/2 cup green onion, chopped

  • Instructions

    • Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add ground meat and sausage. Sauté until browned and cooked through.

    • Add diced onion, bell pepper, and celery. Sauté for about 10 minutes, or until softened. Add garlic, paprika, creole seasoning, thyme, and salt & pepper to taste. Combine and cook for another 5 minutes.

    • Add 2 pouches of A Dozen Cousins Classic Bone Broth Rice and chicken broth. Stir to combine and sauté for 10 minutes, or until rice is fully warmed through. Add hot sauce if desired.

    • Garnish with green onion and serve.
