We launched our Creole Red Beans as a limited-edition product in honor of Black History Month but as a result of the consumer excitement and sales, A Dozen Cousins made it part of the line permanently. This dish has roots in African, French and Spanish cuisine but its true birthplace is the great state of Louisiana. In fact, the love for red beans runs so deep in New Orleans that jazz legend Louis Armstrong used to sign his letters "Red beans and ricely yours."

“Growing up, our kitchen was a delicious melting pot of Creole, Caribbean, and Latin American cuisine. I started A Dozen Cousins because I want more families to have authentic foods that are delicious and easy to prepare. I named the brand after my daughter, her 11 cousins, and all the great family dinners we enjoy together. Also, it’s really fun to say :)”
